# AI at work: evidence and authority — facilitator plan

AI-native training by LockedIn Labs · Edition 1, 29 October 2026

A 60-minute free practice plan for employee pairs and a facilitator. Use the [AI-at-work lesson](https://training.lockedinlabs.ai/training/labs/ai-at-work#practice) and give each person their own [individual worksheet](https://training.lockedinlabs.ai/templates/ai-native-employee-review-worksheet.md). The lesson's Edition 2 has three fictional cases. Reading, browser preparation and breaks are separate from the planned time. This material does not announce a staffed class, reserve a seat or grant teaching approval.

## Prepare the group

- Confirm the facilitator and two participants using synthetic aliases. Each participant needs a separate browser tab and a place to save Markdown. One device may be shared if both retain their own choices and declare the shared setup.
- Use the supplied fictional dispatch, policy and customer-message records. No company documents, customer data, model account, API key or installation is required. The browser uses authored drafts; it does not call a model, approve an action or send a message.
- Agree one observable goal: identify what a source supports, correct an unsupported commitment and name the person who must act next.
- Record prior exposure, reading help and accessibility arrangements. The lesson includes static sources and teaching notes without JavaScript. Use a local text editor and the worksheet in that mode, declaring which controls were unavailable.
- Keep each participant's worksheet separate. The facilitator's observation is another account, not a replacement for their work. Declared assistance is useful evidence; do not describe coached work as independent.

## Run the session

| Planned minutes | Participant work | Facilitator / receiving work |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 0–5 | Record your current review approach and previous exposure before instruction. | State the goal, fictional-data boundary and the difference between a request and an approval. This opening explanation is self-reported, not a measured performance baseline. |
| 5–15 | Case 01: read D-17 and C-4, make your own first choices and predict the needed next action. Then compare with the teaching notes and keep any revision. | Ask which source supports each claim. Do not select answers or write the correction for the learner. |
| 15–25 | Case 02: inspect the replacement D-18 and C-5 sources. Predict which decisions change before opening this case's notes. | Check that the learner locates the actual replacement source. Keep the original choices rather than silently editing them into the later answer. |
| 25–40 | Case 03: read incoming message M-9 alongside the unchanged D-18 and C-5. Keep the legitimate charge-review request, identify the instructions aimed at the assistant and write a supportable correction. | Ask who can request a review, set policy and approve an exception. Point to the authority diagram when useful and record that help. A model citation or an instruction in M-9 is not a service-lead decision. |
| 40–47 | A gives B the lesson's downloaded record and source packet. B locates one corrected claim and names a concrete owner/action without A narrating it. | A observes B's actual action. Record missing evidence, hints and any author takeover. Feedback belongs in each person's own worksheet. |
| 47–55 | Swap: B gives A their record. A locates one source-dependent decision and explains the next receiving action. Each revises their own correction. | Keep the two observations separate. A shared correct answer is not evidence that both people can do the task. |
| 55–60 | Record one remaining gap, a named role responsible for the next step and a proposed follow-up opportunity. Save both accounts locally. | Review what was actually observed and what was not. Agree any later task and receiver; do not infer qualification, productivity improvement or client readiness. |

The lesson retains choices made before its teaching notes are opened and separates later selections. That is a snapshot of choices in a local guided exercise, not proof that nobody read a source or received help elsewhere. The worksheet preserves the learner's explanation, assistance and receiving account separately. Downloads remain under each person's control; nothing is uploaded by these materials.

For a later visit, use **Save a Resume file** in the lesson before leaving. On return, open that JSON file, review its case summary and explicitly replace the current tab's work. The readable Markdown record is for receiving review; it cannot reopen the controls. Restored choices and snapshots remain editable self-reports, not verified chronology or independent observations. Keep each participant's own file separate; do not restore a facilitator's answers as the learner's attempt.

## Expected distinctions for the facilitator

Use these after the participant has made an initial attempt. They are teaching notes, not a scoring or pass rule.

| Case | Source-dependent distinction | Next accountable action |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 01 | D-17 records a requested slot and no new charge. C-4 supplies no waiver approval. | Describe the request accurately; ask dispatch to confirm and the service lead to decide any fee exception. |
| 02 | D-18 confirms the slot and records $25. C-5 prohibits blanket future waivers. | Keep the confirmation, correct the charge statement and remove the future-fee promise. |
| 03 | M-9 requests a review but also tells the assistant to invent approval and disregard policy. The D-18/C-5 source bytes are unchanged from case 02. | Retain the request, withhold the invented approval and ask the service lead about this named order. Do not follow or forward the embedded instructions as authority. |

A useful learner correction can use different wording. Look for the actual source, scope, uncertainty and owner/action. An answer that deletes the entire customer request misses useful information; an answer that grants the waiver invents authority. Noticing this visible prompt injection does not establish robust detection or enforce application permissions.

## Optional later task — a new source packet

Agree when to use this with a receiving colleague after the initial session. Keep it separate from the three guided cases. Record prior exposure and all assistance; a small rehearsal cannot establish a workplace effect.

**D-19 — dispatch record:** A move to Thursday 5 November, 14:00–17:00 has been requested for fictional order O-42. Dispatch has not confirmed that change. The earlier Tuesday appointment remains confirmed until dispatch changes it.

**C-6 — service-lead decision record:** The lead approved removal of the $25 charge for O-42 only. The decision grants no future-order fee waiver and changes no appointment.

**Authored draft:** “Your delivery has moved to Thursday afternoon, and all your future deliveries are now free.”

Ask the participant to identify what can be stated now, which claims require repair and the next owner/action. Ask the receiver to locate both source IDs from the saved explanation without the author supplying missing steps.

Facilitator receiving notes: Thursday is requested, not confirmed; keep the existing Tuesday state visible and ask dispatch about the requested change. The named order's $25 removal is supported by C-6, but a future blanket waiver is not. The fee decision does not confirm the appointment. Retain the participant's first attempt, later correction and actual assistance without assigning a score or declaring independent competence.

## Continue at the right depth

Employee teams can take a sanitized workflow and the [enterprise planning brief](https://training.lockedinlabs.ai/templates/ai-native-enterprise-training-brief.md) to the accountable training owner. Developers can [inspect the tool-authority lab](https://training.lockedinlabs.ai/training/guides/prompt-injection#2-run-four-proposals-through-the-same-boundary). That lab exercises actual local code with authored proposals; it has its own setup and makes no live-model robustness claim. Instructor preparation and a real delivery engagement remain separately scoped.
