A Python web framework
What is FastAPI?
FastAPI is a Python framework for building web APIs. You write Python functions for routes, describe inputs with types, and get request validation and an OpenAPI description. It is the name of a framework, not a general term for an API that happens to be fast.
It is one practical way to expose an agent workflow to a UI or another service while keeping policy outside the model.
CONNECT IT TO WHAT YOU KNOW
Start with something familiar.
If you have used a web controller in another framework, a FastAPI route is familiar: a request is matched to a function, inputs are checked, and a response is produced.
Validation checks data shape. It does not decide whether a caller may access a customer's records. Authentication and authorization still need application design.

The framework can reject a malformed body. A separate policy must reject access to another organization's machine; a valid body is not authorization.
